Consider this: If just 16% of middle and high school students in middle- and high-income countries around the world actively studied climate change, it would result in cutting almost 19 gigatons of CO2 by 2050!
Connecting with those young people and getting them talking about climate are the goals of Rotary’s John Mathers Climate Action Leadership Program (JMCALP) and The Climate Initiative (TCI), whose mission is to empower youth voices for climate action.
Attend this virtual Forum to learn how your Rotary club can tap both resources and expertise to effectively and positively engage with young people on climate.
Key takeaways from this Forum will include:
- Learn about Rotary Climate Action Teams, JMCALP, and TCI
- Understand how connecting with youth is vital to addressing climate challenges
- Gain insights into program resources, communication strategies, and logistics
- Receive steps you can take today to involve your Rotary club in this important outreach
